Mike Sigal assists leaders across the innovation ecosystem including startup founders, corporate executives, and fund managers. He helps founders refine their strategies, accelerate revenue, acquire funding, and develop high-performing organizations. He assists accelerators and fund managers in more effectively engaging LPs, and sourcing, diligencing, and supporting startups. With unique experience as both a founder and VC, he helps corporate executives and teams improve the agility and performance of their innovation and investment programs.

Sigal currently works with numerous startups and investment funds. He currently serves as a Venture Partner at GPO Fund and MiddleGame Ventures, and serves on the Investment Committee of SCVentures, Standard Chartered Bank‘s corporate venture fund.

Sigal frequently speaks at both corporate (e.g. NAPA 401K Summit, Georgia Bankers Association) and industry (Singularity Summit, Collision Conference, Money20/20, Corporate Innovation Summit) events. He lectures at Stanford Graduate School of Business and UC Berkeley Haas Business School on Corporate Venture Capital, Innovation Culture, Fintech & Web3, and teaches courses to startups around the world on strategy, storytelling and fundraising.

Before his current roles, Sigal was a founding General Partner of 500 Startups Fintech Fund which made over 80 pre-seed and seed stage investment globally between 2016-2019, Co-Founder at Upside Partners, a boutique consultancy helping corporations and government institutions achieve operational excellence at engaging the startup ecosystem. He also served as Executive Producer of SWIFT's Innotribe Challenges Program, and has founded eight startups, four of which had successful exits, including one IPO. Sigal earned his BA in Economics from UC Berkeley in 1990.

Despite spending most of his career living and working in Silicon Valley, Sigal is passionate about experiencing and working in other cultures. He has lived in Adelaide, Amsterdam, London, and Paris and has worked in over 40 countries globally. In 2022, he moved from San Francisco to Lisbon.
